Brunei Islamic Experience
DAY ONE

Meet and greet upon arrival at Brunei International Airport before visiting the iconic Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddein Mosque. Take a relaxing walk in town for dinner at local restaurant.

The tour continues to the country’s largest shopping centre, the Mall, followed by a visit to the nearby night market locally known as ‘Pasar Malam

DAY TWO

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Islamic Da`wah Centre. The Centre aids in the development and awareness of Islam in Brunei Darussalam. The day continues at the State Mufti’s Office, home to Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Islamic Exhibition gallery, to view some of His Majesty’s collection of ancient Holy Qur’an and manuscripts. The Gallery also embraces the rarest mus’hafs, originating from all over the world that dates back over 1,000 years old including the smallest Qur’an.

A Quick photo stop at the Istana Nurul Iman, the official residents of His Majesty, the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam. Guinness World records currently considers Istana Nurul Iman to hold the title as the “World largest residential palace” with 1,788 rooms.

The tour continues at the Jame ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, Brunei’s largest mosque built in 1992 to celebrate the 25th year of His Majesty’s reign.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant followed by a scenic boat ride around the Water Village, locally known as ‘Kampong Ayer’. This is the largest water Bound village in the world with 30.000 residents. Drop by the Tourism and cultural Gallery that showcased long history of the water village.

After an eventful afternoon, head back to hotel to rest and relax before performing Maghrib prayers at the Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque, Serusop followed by dinner at local restaurant.

DAY THREE

After Breakfast, tour will visit Tamu Kianggeh, Brunei’s oldest market. The original market is well known for it’s vast assortment of exotic local foods, spices and medicinal plants.

The tour continues to the Malay Technology Museum which exhibits the traditional invention of the Kampong Ayer people, follow by Brunei Maritime Museum which embraces collection of artifacts excavated from a shipwreck discovered by divers in 1997. The ship is believed to have set sail from China sometime in the late 15th or early 16th centuries before being struck by stormy weather as it approached Brunei.

Next is a visit to the Royal Mausoleum of the late Sultan Bolkiah, the fifth Sultan of Brunei. During his reign was marked as the Golden Age of Brunei and saw the Sultanate become the superpower of the Malay Archipelago.

Discover the history of Brunei’s art at the Arts and Handicraft Centre. The centre was established for the learning, preserving and displaying of various types of traditional Bruneian arts and handicraft.

After lunch at local restaurant tour will head back to Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque for Zohor Prayers. Take a stroll through the beautiful grounds of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Shopping Complex and take time for souvenirs shopping, textiles or imported products.

The Day ends with the spectacular Royal Regalia Building tour which was built to commemorate in the occasion of Silver Jubilee of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam accession to the throne in 1992.

DAY FOUR

Spend the morning to relax and reflect on the places on interest visited during the tour until check out time.
