Introduction
A perfect way to experience Brunei’s unique wilderness rainforest region is by visiting the Ulu Temburong National Park, the first national park established in the Sultanate that contains the finest example of a successful forest protection policy known as the ‘Green Jewel of Brunei’
Description
The fun begins with a 45-minute speedboat ride from Bandar Seri Begawan to Bangar Town, zipping through meandering rivers lined with mangroves and nipah palms. From Bangar, it is a short drive overland for light jungle trekking.
Enjoy some light refreshment and transfer via local long boat Temuai and ride upstream along Temburong River to reach the national park, with rapids and strong currents for a true adrenalin rush. Upon arrival, we will take a challenging climb up the stairway up to the Canopy Walk. A climb up presents the different levels of rainforest below the shady canopies, topped with breath-taking vista of the surrounding greenery. Return to Temuai and head to a nearby natural waterfall where you can take beautiful picture or take a refreshing dip in the cold water before proceed back to the jetty for some light refreshment.
Freshen up then we will enjoy a hearty lunch prepare by the locals while admiring the relaxing ambience of the eco-village. After some photo-taking, proceed to depart to Bangar Town and transfer back to Bandar Seri Begawan via speedboat with fond memories of the beautiful rainforest.
Itinerary
07:30 | Meet at Kianggeh Jetty, BSB and proceed to Bangar Town via speedboat |
09:30 | Upon arrival, meet and greet with the local guide and transfer overland to jetty. |
09:50 | Light refreshments upon arrival at Jetty followed with a briefing by the local guide. |
10:15 |
Depart by motorized Temuai to Temburong National Park. |
10:45 | Arrive at Temburong National Park and proceed for Canopy Walk followed by a visit to nearby waterfall. |
13:00 | Back to the jetty. Opt for a relaxing dip in the river beofre proceed for lunch. Visit nearby Iban longhouse (If time permits) |
14:30 | Transfer overland to Bangar Town and enjoy the speedboat back to BSB. |
16:00 | Arrive at Kianggeh Jetty, BSB. End of tour |

Recommended attires:
Trekking: | Quick-dry shorts or suitable covered pants, t-shirt, gripped shoes, cap or hat |
Swimming: | Swimming tubing and other waterbound activities: swimwear or any suitable swimming gears, sandals (avoid slippers) or rubber shoes. (available in local shops) |
To bring:
Light rucksack, change of clothes, sun lotion, raincoat, camera, binoculars (for bird watching), small towel, bath towel, toiletries, swimwear, non-aerosol insect repellent, snack e.g. energy bars, chocolate, sweets and drinks (any isotonic drink or packets of oral rehydration salts)
